Session Report: August 8 2007: Heather and Brian sittin in a tree, T-O-N-G-I-A-K-I.

Whilst Pete played boardgames in the campground, the VBGGers carried on with normal operations. Here's the report from Collin -

The diehard faithful VBGGers gathered for yet another adventure on
BrettSpielWelt. Brian taught Karen how to play Lost Cities. It is a
two player card game with stackable cards like solitaire that has
suits of five colors.

After that, Brian, Heather (Brian's wife - a newbie to our game night), Karen, and Beth played a long game (63:59)of Tongiaki. Despite weird interface obstacles, Beth was able to pull out a victory with 26 points. There were several Kings and Queens on various islands making navigation difficult. Gentle cruise ship treatment of others turned into pirate vengeance towards the end of the game. Heather ran out of ships (not seen that before) and had to use ships on her other existing islands. Heather has proven to be a worthy opponent. Welcome aboard!
